One of the must of our schools, is the idea that theory and practice has to come together to get a better understanding of
the matter you are studying.
We have several pedagogical principles that explain us this idea:
“You have to go exploring to acquire new ideas. And to explore further to form better ideas” (PP 1)
“You have to get close to the thing you want to learn about. The closer you get, the more you learn” (PP2)
“You have to be mobile, then you will encounter many things. Otherwise, things come to a stop – even
though your eyes are starting out of your head. From just one place you can’t see far.” (PP8)
For this reason today, according to our book “DNS in Africa“…
“You can definitely learn a lot from reading books […]
You will, however, also train other important learning methods and learn a lot from them.
A significant method is investigation. When making investigation in the actual surroundings,
where the phenomena you are to study and learn about are located and take place in real life,
you get personally close to the issues you are learning about.”
… all the students of team 2015, together with their core group teachers, are going out for a three days investigation.
Two core-groups, forming the group that will travel together with the “Happy Bus” in February, are going to the village of Chintebe.
Two core-groups. forming the group that will travel together with the “Blue Bus” in February, are going to the village of Sakoma.
So, see you next Saturday, after the report of the investigation made by our students!
